This auction is for an uncommon vintage Spanish edition 1974 E. J. Harrison paperback book titled “Manual de Karate,” aka “The Manual Of Karate.” The book appears to be in unread condition although we are unsure. We think this because the pages do not fall open all the way and feel like they may have never been fully spread open as would be found with a new unread book. The book is marked in part as follows: MANUAL DE KARATE. E. J. HARRISON. LA INFALIBLE TECHNICA JAPONESA DE AUTODEFENSA SIN ARMAS. 1974. EDITORIAL BRUGUERA, S.A. PRINTED IN SPAIN. Judging by the English editions of this book we have found online it is based on a publication by the Society for the Study of Japanese Karate in Tokyo and the Standard work by Reikichi Oya. The book is loaded with illustrations and has a total of 215 numbered pages. The book measures roughly 6 3/4” x 4 1/8” x 3/4” and weighs 6.2 oz. The covers and/or pages have fading, discoloration, yellowing, scratches, nicks, dings, edge wear, bumped corners, and dirty and/or stained areas. The front cover also has some curling and/or lifting. The first inside page has a price written on it in pen. This uncommon seemingly unread vintage Spanish edition 1974 E. J.
