The Ventura is a very versatile guitar with amazing clean sounds and a long sustained distortion. Radiused top, 5-position selector and humbucker split switch (tone selector can be pulled), extremely resonant. Great axe for rock, pop, hard rock, and blues.
This guitar can produce strat-like sounds in all 5 positions with the option of using the humbucker as a single coil. At the same time, the bridge pickup, when not split, is excellent when it comes to creating creamy distorted solo sounds.
To reduce the weight of the body, Manne bore multiple small chambers in the body just before gluing on the top. This process also allows better resonance and faster tone maturation. The neck is ultra stable maple with a multi-laminated beech core and thin “F resin” fretboard for a precise attack without dead notes.
The guitar is always in tune and therefore great for both studio recordings and live gigs.
Condition
This guitar has primarily been used in studio. It never traveled except for a few gigs. Perfect condition, despite 20 years of companionship and recordings. No remarkable signs of wear and tear apart from a couple of dents in the back of the body and aging marks on the metal tremolo bridge.
