Up for sale is an etching by master surrealist artist Salvador Dali, titled “El Greco” Published by the Collectors Guild of New York,
This is one of five etchings done for the Spanish Immortals Suite.
This etching is from the original plate, drawn and signed by the artist.
In 1966 Dali was commissioned by the Swiss publisher Jean Schneider (Basel) to produce a print edition based on Spanish figures; five figures chosen were: El Cid, Cervantes , Don Quixote, El Greco and Velasquez. The series is entitled "Five Spanish Immortals". This one is "El Greco” and was published by The Collector's Guild of New York.
