This listing is for a vintage (mid 40's - to mid 50's) design, TISSOT, Swiss 17 ruby jeweled movement with leather band.

The convex crystal measures 19mmx22mm and has a couple of flea bites on the edge on each side, and some light wear consistent with age (see pictures).

There are 17 ruby jewels inside the movement to protect important areas in motion. Rubies are used as they are the 2nd hardest stone on the Mohs scale.

The serial number is: 954252

• The case was acid tested for 14k and is marked 14k inside. On the back of the watch, there is an inscription in Spanish: "Recuerdo de Manuel Toro e hiyo Litada, Bogota 1955". using google Translate, it means : in memory of Manuel Toro and son. " The engraving is  beautiful and hand engraved.

The crown is marked Tissot.

The leather band is 11 mm wide and is 8-3/8" long.Please carefully view the photos as they are part of the description.
