FM Stereo Encoder HQ Circuit Board Module for FM Broadcasting, FM PLL Transmitters with Pilot Sync, RDS Input, Composite (MPX) Output, High Quality

You will be amazed at the broadcast quality of this Stereo Encoder circuit module. It enables extremely clean and balanced stereo broadcasting for FM applications. This stereo encoder module is similar to a semi-professional device for FM broadcasting. The stereo encoded signal also includes the 19 kHz Pilot tone signal. In this way, stereophonic information and stereo broadcast warning light are turned on in radio receivers and professional tuners. It also allows your broadcast to be identified as a stereo station in the automatic scan of the tuners.

Both analog and digital signal processing processes are available in this stereo encoder. Thus, this module has a compact user-friendly structure that ensures a high quality broadcast. This stereo encoder has really nice sound quality. You can improve your FM broadcast to a professional broadcast level with this low cost and high performance coder. For this purpose, you do not need to spend a lot on professional devices.

A 19kHz Pilot Sync output is available on the stereo encoder. Thanks to this output, you can synchronize with RDS encoders or external devices. By connecting the RDS Encoder signal to the RDS input, you can combine the RDS signal with the encoded stereo signal on this circuit board. In this way, you can directly connect the signal containing MPX and RDS signal to the transmitter. This input is also compatible with our RDS encoder module.

You can select the broadcast as mono or stereo with the button on the module. You can also select various modes to improve channel separation.

This Stereo Encoder module can be used together with the FM Clipper/Limiter/Compressor module where the full pre-emphasis is provided, to further improve the broadcast quality and ensure a perfectly good broadcast. Also, the stereo encoder module is compatible with our PLL FM transmitter module.

Installation Instructions:

Stereo Encoder Module Pinout

* Pilot level adjustment: The pilot level should be set to 10 % of the total deviation (±75 kHz). For example, if audio signal level is 1 V pp, set the pilot level to 0.1 V pp (this adjustment is linear, max about 0.5 V pp).

* Output level (gain) adjustment: If possible, it's recommended to set high output level and adjust lower sensitivity on the transmitter/exciter (Don't set low output level and adjust high sensitivity). This method gives better S/N ratio.

* The output level adjustment has no effect on pilot-to-audio signal ratio.

* Mode selection: Please, click and hold the button until the mode change is indicated by acoustic signal (number of beeps indicates the mode set). Mode set is saved in internal memory. Mode 1 is the default mode and it is recommended. Mode 2 set to mono operation. Modes 3,4 and 5 can handle transient in some cases and enhance the channel separation. Modes 3,4 and 5 have no reason for non-experts, don't worry for these.

* This stereo encoder does not include the pre-emhasis unit. With this stereo encoder, you can provide a perfect broadcast with the FM Clipper/Limiter/Compressor circuit module where pre-emphasis is fully provided.

This is only the recommended connection type. Each of our modules and transmitter can work independently, can be used with amateur or professional devices and circuit modules.
