Made from durable Galalith, a material resembling antique plastics, they have a two-hole shank and a gently rounded, smooth surface, making them ideal for embellishing jackets, sweaters, or bags with a classic, understated style.

And what is casein? Casein, from which galalith buttons are made, is technically a type of plastic but with natural origins. It's derived from milk protein, so while it's a manufactured material, it's not a synthetic plastic like acrylic or polyester. Casein is often classified as a semi-synthetic material, as it combines natural components with a chemical process to create the final product.
