72-019 Micro-Mir Sncaso SO 9050 "Trident II" Kit 1/72
In parallel with the refinement and testing of "Tridan", the design office of L. Cervanta led the development of a more advanced interceptor - SO.9050 "Tridan" II. The aircraft was developed in accordance with the request of the Technical Service of the Air Force for a light supersonic fighter-interceptor, issued on February 28, 1953. Competitors of the SNCASO product were the SE.212 "Durandal", developed by the SNCASE association, as well as the MD.550 aircraft presented by the Marcel Dasso company. Mr. Delta (distant ancestor of Mirage III). Both of the latter machines were designed as turbojets with an auxiliary liquid rocket booster.
