This is an original press photo. Sketch of proposed Plaquemines Parish Detention Center - A ground breaking ceremony was held in Pointe a la Hache for soon to be constructed new parish jail. The facility will house 310 and be finished by the end of the year. The architects are the Leblanc Group and the contractor is E. L. Habetz Builders. The ceremony was attended by over 100 parish officials. The new jail will cost 5.9 million dollars. Sheriff Jiff HinglePhoto measures 10 x 8inches. Photo is dated 03-02-1995.
