The alarm clock comes with a display dimmer with preset times, so there's no need to worry about setting buttons. Simply select your time zone on the bottom of the clock and turn on DST if applicable. Plug the clock into an approved power source. To quickly adjust for daylight saving time, slide the DST switch on the bottom of the clock to ON to add an hour (+1 hour). For standard time, slide the switch to OFF to subtract an hour (-1 hour). It also comes with a high/low dimmer control, giving you the ability to adjust the display brightness to your preference. The backup battery is a CR2032 coin cell battery. It comes pre-installed and is used to back up the time settings in the event of a power outage. It is located in a screw-in cabinet on the bottom of the clock. This battery will last for years.
