Leandro Soto Ortiz is an artist who has ventured into various manifestations of the visual arts. Among them painting, engraving, performance and scenographic design.

Between 1972-1976 he studied painting and engraving at the National School of Art (ENA), Havana, Cuba. From 1982 to 1986 he studied scenographic design with Roberto Blanco, Eduardo Arrocha and Gabriel Hierrezuelo in Havana, Cuba. In 1983 he participated in the International Workshop of New Theater, Cuban Commission of the International Theater Institute (ITI), in Havana, Cuba. 1987 was the year in which he took the course of Scenographic Lighting Design with Prof. Figge Holmgerg (Switzerland), in Havana, Cuba.

Leandro Soto Ortiz es un artista que ha incursionado en diversas manifestaciones de las artes visuales. Entre ellas la pintura, el grabado, la performance y el diseño escenográfico.

Entre 1972 y 1976 estudió pintura y grabado en la Escuela Nacional de Arte (ENA) de La Habana, Cuba. De 1982 a 1986 estudió diseño escenográfico con Roberto Blanco, Eduardo Arrocha y Gabriel Hierrezuelo en La Habana, Cuba. En 1983 participó en el Taller Internacional de Nuevo Teatro, Comisión Cubana del Instituto Internacional de Teatro (ITI), en La Habana, Cuba. En 1987 realizó el curso de Diseño de Iluminación Escenográfica con el Prof. Figge Holmgerg (Suiza), en La Habana, Cuba.
