So pleased to offer an elegant pair of 19th century Anglo-English cut crystal sweetmeat or ginger urn vases with lids. The urn-shaped body is cut with a broad band of strawberry diamonds between fluting borders. The jars rest on a square pedestal base. There are slight irregularities of size between the pair, the most significant being the taller and more pronounced point on the end of the finial.
The jars measure approximately 12.5 inches and 12.25 inches high, have 4 inch diameters, 4.5 inch square base and 4 3/8 inches square. Without lids, the jars stand 6.75 inches high and 6 5/8 high. The lids are not interchangeable and will only fit specific jars.
The item(s) are antique and sold as is/as found. The item(s) may show wear, fading, scratches, repairs, restoration, original imperfections and/or damage from normal use. I note that both jars have scratches and wear expected for their age. In addition, one jar has two chips to base and two chips to lid rim, the other jar has one chip to corner of base, a chip to center of underside of base, what appears to be an impact to the underside of finial on one side only and a few very small chips to rim of lid as shown in photos. Examine photos carefully as they are part of the description. Imperfections were factored into pricing. No returns or refunds.
