Van Cleef Arpels VCA x Gerald Genta Tortoise 18k Gold G1510 D31 Automatic 1970s
A vintage Van Cleef & Arpels reference G1510 D31 in 18k yellow gold, crafted during the 1970s. Designed and created by Gerald Genta, its highlighted feature is its warm wooden aesthetic, the 32 mm cushion case contains a tortoiseshell bezel as suggested to us by a former employee of Van Cleef having served during the 1990s. The dial shows beautiful graining of the tortoiseshell and is simply topped with gold-applied sword shaped hands. The tortoiseshell crown adds an exquisite touch to its overall warm elegance. Houses a Genta caliber automatic movement. Fitted with a brown crocodile strap matching the warm-tone of the watch, while the t-bar lugs can be unscrewed to accommodate a new strap, and is accompanied by its original tang buckle stamped VCA 18k Genta. Truly, this rare Van Cleef & Arpels tortoise beauty of a watch would attract attention to the wearer’s wrist.
