Bye Bye Birdie reminiscent, here is an adorable Midcentury Cake Topper with thoughtful details from the 1950s or 60s: "Teenagers"--a boy and a girl--talk to each other on old style Telephones, surrounded by schoolbooks, homework, a little Vinyl record and a snack. A Midcentury Crush is in the air! The girl has a Flip hairdo, pink barrette and pink flats; she is not paying attention to her homework). The boy--eating a sandwich while he chats--has a Mod vibe with his sweater and "Beatle Boots" (or so they were called in 1964: elevated heel, black, pointy toe. I remember because I was there:). The Record reads "M.G.M. Never on Sunday, April Love, High Noon". "Never on Sunday" came out in 1960, the other songs in the fifties--April Love was a big hit for Pat Boone; the songs call to mind such a specific time. These hard plastic Cake Toppers are so much fun to arrange and rearrange, and of course they don't have to go on a cake! Please see photos, read everything and let me know if you have questions. Thank you!
