Item: CNORI9737DP
The NORITAKE CO. began producing fine china in 1904. The company started in Japan but has since expanded world-wide. Noritake is recognized for their elegant tableware, but has also made more casual dinnerware, including stoneware. Early china dinnerware items were not stamped with the pattern name or number, which hinders identification. A variety of back stamps have been used by the company, with the early marks containing an "M", which honors the founder, Baron Ichizaemon Morimura.
