This is an original press photo. Engineers take soil borings today for the controversial wharf proposed on the Mississippi river at Audubon Park. The city and Audubon Park Commission have sued to halt building of the dock. The court has not ruled on the injunction plea. Soil sampling is preliminary to designing a foundation and advertising for construction bids. Eustis Engineering CO. workers, hired by the Dock board, handle the equipment.Photo measures 10 x 8.25inches. Photo is dated 09-19-1961.
