The TASCAM Model 16 is a 14-channel recording mixer with 14 analog input channels consisting of 10 MIC x 10 / 14 LINE x 14 / 2 INST x 2. 14 stereo input source channels with Bluetooth 5.0 compatibility, RCA pin jacks and stereo minijack input jacks are also provided.
Flexible mixing
The top panel is equipped with 14 channels of analog input terminals consisting of 10 MICx, 14 LINEx, and 2 INSTx. The Bluetooth 5.0-compatible stereo channel also features RCA pin jacks and stereo mini-jack input jacks.
■Natural and pure sound
TASCAM Ultra-HDDA (High Definition Discrete Architecture) microphone preamplifier circuitry is used for the 1-8 microphone inputs. This provides natural and transparent sound.
■Fully-featured channel strips
Each channel is equipped with a gain knob for fine-tuning the input level. A low-cut filter and LIVE/PC/MTR mode selector switch are located below it, allowing flexible combination of different input sources. Channels 1-8 also feature a 1-knob compressor and 3-band mid parametric EQ. Intuitive and quick operation is achieved.
■Smart audio routing and monitoring.
The master section has three independent MAIN, SUB, and CR outputs, while the auxiliary output section provides three outputs (MON1, MON2 [pre/post switchable], and FX). Audio signals can be sent to stage monitors, external effectors, signal processors, headphone mixes, etc.
■Powerful 16-track digital MTR function
The TASCAM MTR is equipped with a high-performance multi-track engine that incorporates TASCAM's expertise in recording technology. Up to 16 tracks (14 inputs + main mix) can be recorded to an SD card at 24 bit/48 kHz. It can be used for a wide range of applications from live performances and rehearsals to lectures and meetings. In addition, a punch-in/punch-out function is also provided. Overdub recording is also easy. Mixing and mastering can be done on the spot, or exported to a PC for editing.
High-quality audio interface
A 16-in / 14-out USB audio interface is provided. The TASCAM USB driver allows the audio buffer value to be set to a minimum of 4 samples, providing low latency and highly efficient performance.
■Flexible input settings
A MODE switch on each channel allows you to select the source you need. All sources input to the Model 16 can be used simultaneously with the playback track of the built-in MTR and the sound source of DAW software via USB.
■16 types of multi-effects
The effects section includes a total of 16 editable effects such as reverb, delay, chorus, and flanger. On/off operation is also possible via footswitch.
■Master section with 4-band EQ
Master section with 4-band EQ with HIGH/LOW shelving and WIDE/NARROW Q parametric. Insertable into Main Out or MON1/2.
■Various optional accessories
The “AK-RM16” rack-mount adapter for rack installation and the “AK-DC16” dust cover to protect the main unit from dirt and dust are available. The “RC-1F” footswitch enables remote control of punch-in/punch-out and file playback.
