Vladyslav Horodetskyi (full name Leszek Desideriy Vladyslav Horodetskyi was born into a Polish noble family in Podilla in the village of Sholudki) (now Nemyrivskyi District, Vinnytsia Region) - an outstanding architect, entrepreneur, philanthropist. Nicknamed "Gaudi of Kyiv". He entered the history of architecture as an Art Nouveau builder. This extraordinary person organically combined a subtle sense of beauty, the wild imagination of an artist and the inexhaustible energy of a builder.

The stamps feature the master's best Kyiv masterpieces: the building of the National Art Museum of Ukraine, the Church of St. Nicholas, the Karaim Kenasa, and the House of Chimeras.
