Audi and Volkswagen VW V6 Cam Locking Bar and Pin
*Will not work with 3.0 liter Audi V6
Install your timing belt kit on your 12v & 30v engines with confidence. This tool is needed for securing both engine bank camshafts at TDC when replacing the timing belt. Avoids distortion of the camshaft during tooth belt assembly. Also includes the necessary crankshaft locking pin. Cam securing bar fits Audi 12v & 30v V6 cars from 96-05 and VW Passat from 98-05.
Crankshaft locking bolt to be used as OEM 3242 is needed for changing of the tooth belt on Audi and VW with following engines:
- A6 2.4 1997-2002,
- A6 2.8 1997-2002,
- A8 2.8 1997-2002,
- S4 2.7 Turbo 1997-2001resp.
- Volkswagen with ACK, ALG, APR, AQD engines such as Passat 2.4 1996-2002, Passat 2.8 30v 1996-2001
- 2 Valve V6 engines on Audi 80, 90, A4, A6 1994-97 ABC, AFC
