This ancient bronze fibula brooch is a rare piece of jewelry that is believed to be either Celtic or Roman in origin. The brooch was purchased in London by its former owner, and was represented as having been dug up in the UK and dating to 2nd century AD. It does not come with any certificates or other authentication.

The brooch measures approximately 1.5 inches in length and is made of bronze. It weighs approximately 13 grams. It is not magnetic, and an acid test confirms it is not made of silver or gold. Examination under a microscope shows uneven texture and hints of bronze color under the verdigris, as shown in photos. There are no apparent markings and no evidence of prior restoration. The pin appears original and moves easily.

The item(s) are antique and sold as is/as found. The item(s) may show wear, fading, scratches, repairs, restoration, losses, original imperfections and/or damage from normal use. Examine photos carefully as they are part of the description. Imperfections were factored into pricing. No returns or refunds.
