Leopold Mordkhelovich Godowsky Sr. was a Lithuanian-born American virtuoso pianist, composer and teacher. He was one of the most highly regarded performers of his time, known for his theories concerning the application of relaxed weight and economy of motion within pianistic technique – principles later propagated by Godowsky's pupils, such as Heinrich Neuhaus.

 

 The roll was produced and manufacture by The Aeolian Company, Great Britain. 

 

This hand-played roll is in good condition and plays well. Its box is in used condition with some scuffs

commensurate with its age. Please view images.
