The Workman BPM1 bird-perch-style bar threads into the matching existing opening on a compatible Volvo truck mirror-arm assembly. It creates a stainless steel mounting position for a suitable antenna bracket without starting with a full replacement mirror assembly.

The metal-to-metal connection is part of the mounting approach. Check the truck, thread and driver's-side application before buying, then choose the antenna mount and cable to suit. It is a mounting bar, not a complete antenna or a guarantee that grounding issues disappear without checking the installation.
