Houghton Mifflin And Company, Boston and New York, 1898. Hardcover. Written by W. J. Stillman.
Condition Continued: You will see that there was a crack at the juncture between the rear inside cover and the last blank rear end paper, and that the paper there was glued back into place. However, a tiny bit of the paper must have been lost, so there is some webbing still showing at the juncture over the top few inches coming down. However, however, the rear cover is solidly bound, there is no give when you pull at it from the side. The last of the two blank rear end papers has a vertical crease from top to bottom. The two rear end papers and the last four pages of text have a tiny nick off their bottom edges just adjacent to their junctures, a couple show a very tiny tear there. Otherwise, the pages look to be in excellent condition. They are exceptionally clean. Scrolling through, I'm not finding any instances of soiling. That includes the white inside covers and end papers. I'm not seeing any foxing either. And I'm not seeing any conspicuous creasing, no placeholder creases. There are no markings. No attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. I did notice that there are a number of pages that are uncut, so any buyer should have that amongst his or her talents.
