OBSIDIAN ORC “Shield Warrior” ! 28mm Pewter

This guy and his buddies, also listed, are a new range we have produced in metal and will be making available on our new website under Alternative Miniatures, on a dotcom site, hopefully next month ..

We wanted to work with some great new designers around the world and bring the detail of their 3D resin print concepts across into much more dependable metal .

The Obsidian Orcs come from a Scottish creator and we just loved them as special figures for a range of gaming rules - to lead bigger armies, as their own cutthroat band , or as unique individual RPG characters ...

Every manufacturer’s scales seem to be all over the place, so we’ve gone for sizes we think will fit with the widest range of games. This guy measures approx 28mm toe to eye .

We’ve added some comparison photos we hope will help.

NB 1 !! : You are buying the unpainted bare metal item as shown in the actual product photo ...

NB 2 !! : To create the detail, we have had to cast some of the arms and the bone hooks that go on their armour , as separate little pieces so finally assembly is required with superglue, and probably a small file for making weapon grips fit into hands etc

Of course , you don’t have to add the bits , but we think the extra small effort is worth it to be able to personalise each model and end up with a unique figure that is good old metal and not breaking off bits in the midst of battle ! Or the storage box!

For reference on final assembly, we’ve shown our own painted examples and these are a mixture of the actual metal products or the final resin masters used for the master casts.

( these were speed-painted by us so by no means perfect, but hopefully helpful to see the detail) PLEASE see for yourself as we’ve tried to capture all the great detail in the photos .

NB3: for UK delivery, we recommend the Signed For option . We will send basic 2nd class postage and show proof of postage but we are then not responsible for any loss en route .
