Here's a neat piece of old California advertising memorabilia.
This souvenir from the 76 gas stations was given away as an advertising premium in the 1940s and this one is from VERDUGO CITY.
Produced by ANGELUS TRANSFERS for the ANSON W. THOMPSON CO., this rare piece is in very good condition for its age with light creasing and curving to the background card, corner bending and edgewear. It has some smudging on the upper right. The back has directions for application but due to its old age, it probably wouldn't survive. It measures 7 1/8" wide by 2 1/2" tall.
The Verdugo City original early 1940s decal (pre orange ball) is among the hardest of the California roadside decals to find, so don't miss your chance to add this one to your oil and gas, California, Union 76 or vintage decal collection.
