Coin Description:

This coin celebrates a higher educational institution founded under a decree on the establishment of the Tavrida University issued by the Crimean Regional Government. After the decree was issued, the university was staffed and opened officially on 14 October 1918 in Simferopol. Throughout its operation, the university has provided education in the following areas: health care, environmental protection, resource-saving technologies, information systems and so on. In September 2016, the university was moved to Kyiv from the annexed Crimea.
