Kishu Binchotan Ubame Oak Charcoal

This is authentic Kishu Binchotan charcoal made from Ubame oak.

These Kishu Binchotan charcoal pieces have been carefully selected, cleaned, and cut.

Kishu Binchotan is admired for its density, hardness, natural texture, and beautiful glossy cross-sections. It is often referred to as black diamond because of its elegant appearance.

This product is suitable for interior decoration, art displays, tea rooms, Japanese-style displays, natural material collections, and traditional water purification use after proper preparation.

【Water Purification Use】

According to the producer, this cleaned Kishu Binchotan charcoal can be used for water purification.

Before using it for water, please wash it well with a brush without using detergent, then boil it for about 5 minutes.

For water purification use, the recommended guideline is approximately 1 piece per 500ml of water.

After placing it in water, store it in a refrigerator or similar place for at least half a day before drinking.

Please wash it with water about once a week without using detergent.

Please boil it again for about 5 minutes approximately once every two weeks, then dry it in a shaded and well-ventilated place.

The recommended replacement period is about 3 months.

After using it for water purification, it can still be used for interior decoration or deodorizing purposes.

Please note that this is a traditional natural charcoal product and is not a certified water filter.

【Important Safety Notice】

This product has been washed and cleaned.

Do not use this product for BBQ, grilling, cooking, heating, or any other burning purpose.

Because moisture may remain inside the fine pores of the charcoal, igniting washed charcoal may cause dangerous steam explosions.

For safety, this product is not intended for use as fuel.
