One of the more collectible issues from the Charlotte Mint, the 1852-C gold dollar hails from a mintage of just 9,434 coins. Scarce in uncirculated and certainly rare at this choice level, PCGS reports just two graded finer! Frosty lemon-gold surfaces were carefully preserved and shine with bright, semi-prooflike luster. Crisply defined with the stereotypical weakness on the central reverse most areas are sharp. A piece certainly worthy of the discerning Southern gold collector! - Gold Dollar
