He stands out as one of the most important creators of his
generation in the graphic manifestation, where he particularizes the Colagraphy
technique, a process that is closer to painting, conceiving multiple surfaces
and innovative textures that give a personal stamp to his multiple originals. .
His work takes refuge in themes that revolve around Afro-Cuban roots.
He has received numerous national and international
distinctions such as; Medal of Honor at the Salón de la Gráfica in Bulgaria
(1981), the 1st Prize in Small Format Engraving in Galicia Spain (1984) and the
Grand Prize at the IV International Triennial of Grado Kochy, Japan among
others.

Se destaca como uno de los creadores más importantes de su
generación en la manifestación gráfica, donde particulariza la técnica de la
Colagrafia, un proceso que se acerca más a la pintura concibiendo superficies
múltiples y texturas novedosas que le imprimen un sello personal a sus
originales múltiples. Su obra se refugia en temáticas que discurren sobre las
raíces afrocubana
Ha recibido numerosas distinciones nacionales e
internacionales como; Medalla de Honor en el Salón de la Gráfica en Bulgaria
(1981),el 1er Premio en Grabado de pequeño formato en Galicia España (1984) y
el Gran Premio en la IV Trienal Internacional de Grado Kochy ,Japón entre otras.
