This lighting is a collaboration between Shinyo Denki Co., Ltd., a lighting manufacturer founded in 1948, and L'aquamarmo, an artist of the traditional Italian technique of marbling.

The natural, soft-textured wooden frames made by Japanese woodworkers are topped with beautiful, tangled, flowing colors, creating a gorgeous, elegant series where no two pieces are alike.

Each piece is handmade from marbled paper, which has been treated with Warlon® to maintain the feel of a handmade product while also being durable and safe for long-term use.

Made of natural solid wood

All of the wooden frames of the products are made of domestic solid wood, not synthetic boards or laminated boards.

Manufactured by hand in Japan

All work, such as cutting the wood, making the shade, and assembling the light fixtures, is done by hand one by one in Japan.

Lighting that can be used for a long time

We use parts that meet standards to ensure quality that can be used for a long time.

We also provide after-care such as repairing cords and sockets and replacing Waron.

All the washi paper parts are made of highly durable reinforced washi paper (®Waron) coated with synthetic resin. It has the texture of washi paper, but is characterized by its resistance to tearing, discoloration, and deterioration.

The washi paper part can be wiped with water, making it easy to care for.

For 75 years, Shinyo Denki has been manufacturing and selling original design lighting fixtures in Japan as a lighting manufacturer.

In 1951, we designed the first spotlights and patented downlights in Japan, and as a pioneer of store lighting, we created many types of lighting, including lighting that incorporated European modern styles.

After that, we gained connections with Japanese lighting craftsmen and shifted our focus to Japanese-style lighting, but we continue to focus on quality and handmade production in Japan.
