This catalogue 'Jean-Luc Godard: Documents' was published in 2006 to accompany Godard's exhibition at the Centre Pompidou: 'Voyage(s) en utopie: Jean-Luc Godard 1946-2006', 11 May-14 August 2006.
It contains a DVD with several rare short film and video works by Godard: Lettre à Freddy Buache (1982), On s'est tous défilé (1988), among others.
This publication is not a conventional exhibition catalogue. As so little was known about the final contents of the exhibition right up to the opening, the volume, edited by Nicole Brenez, David Faroult, and Michael Witt, focused on reproducing many rare and previously unpublished documents relating to Godard's long and varied career as a writer, filmmaker, graphic artist, composer, political activist and and public intellectual.
In addition to material by Godard, the collection features contributions from a wide range of artists, filmmakers, critics, and scholars.
It is a beautifully designed book with many colour illustrations and facsimile reproductions of original documents.

If you are interested in this book, you may like Amnésies by Jacques Aumont or Nul mieux que Godard by Alain Bergala, both of which are available through this buyer.
