1965 Press Photo Brig Gen Nguyen Chanh Thi with generals in Saigon, Vietnam

This is an original press photo. Brigadier General Nguyen Chanh Thi, mustached commander of the Vietnamese 1st Corps, emerges from session with fellow generals in Saigon today discussing the ouster of Lieutenant Nguyen Khanh as armed forces chief. One report said Thi, impatient with Khanh's stalling in leaving Vietnam, has threatened to drop paratroopers in the Dalat area 200 miles northeast of Saigon where Khanh is holed up. Photo measures 10 x 7.75 inches. Photo is dated 02-22-1965.
