I had my mother plant of pumpkin that grow 4 maximum of fruits in one plant. But if you cut the rest  and  leave just one fruit, it will give you one  giant pumpkin that can be up to 1,000 lbs  . I didnt want mine to grow so big last year because its an effort to carry them . So i had 4 fruits of pumpkin  in one mother plant pumpkin. That 4 fruits is already heavy estimated 150 lbs a piece. If you just let it grow and never cut all the flowers the rest of the fruits will just automatically die and only have a max of 3 to 4 fruits per plant. Make sure you water your pumpkin plant as they really need so much of watering specially on summer hot days.
