Description: From : "Galerie des peintres ou collection de portraits des peintres ..." by Jean Claude Chabert. 1821-1833. Daid playing the harp for king Saul.

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Nicolas Eustache Maurin' after 'Antoine Jean Gros'. Nicolas-Eustache Maurin (1799-1850) was very active around 1830 as a lithographer. His prints were sought after. Antoine Jean Gros (1771-1835) was one of the more interesting Neo-classicist painters of his time.

Subject: Antique print, untitled. Daid playing the harp for king Saul.

Condition: Good, given age. Large margins. Stain in top and left margin. Some foxing. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
