THIS IS A NICE SOFT 100% WORSTED SPUN WOOL YARN 4 x 250g cones of a BLACK COLOUR, IT IS APPROX A 2/17NM (8500 METRES PER 1KG) THIS IS A REALLY NICE YARN
Some advice on this yarn is as follows - Works well on 2.25mm needles for fine lace knitting. 2 ends knitted together on 2.75mm needles - 3 ply 32 stitches x 38 rows for 10cm x 10cm
Another piece of advice - double stranded 3.5mm needles from a friend also said " I cast on 24 stitches ( plus the edge stitches which i don't measure ) it's slightly smaller so i'd guess that 26 stitches would make a 10cm (4") swatch and it's close to a light fingering or 3ply or a heavy lace weight. Single stranded would be perfect for lace shawls in cobweb weight patterns. small swatch done on 2.75mm needles.
