This pair of silver condiment/salt spoons are charming examples from the late 18th century. Classic Made in a classic Georgian pattern with bead edge and shell bowls, and terminals engraved with stags heads. All hallmarks are rubbed, but the maker’s mark of “GS” is still visible on one spoon. I believe that these spoons were made by George Smith V, a London silversmith operating in the late 18th century.
The spoons measure approximately 4.25 inches long and collectively weigh approximately 17 grams.
These items are antique and sold as is. They may show wear, scratches, dents, tarnish, pits, original imperfections and/or damage from normal use.
