DESCRIPTION

Precision 125mm / 5" Lathe Backing Plate designed to suit Myford ML7 and compatible Myford lathes with a 1-1/8" x 12 TPI spindle nose thread.

Manufactured from high-quality close-grain cast iron, this backplate is supplied with a plain/rough recess so the user can machine the register to accurately match the chuck or collet chuck being fitted.

The backplate can also be drilled and tapped as required to match the mounting hole pattern (PCD) of the chuck.

IMPORTANT – MACHINING REQUIRED

This backing plate is supplied with a rough/unfinished locating recess. The user must machine the recess/register to suit the specific chuck being mounted.

Depending on the chuck, it may also be necessary to drill and tap the mounting holes according to the chuck's PCD and fixing requirements.

Please check your lathe spindle thread and chuck dimensions before purchasing.
