You are looking at a ticket stub for a regular season NBA doubleheader featuring the Baltimore Bullets and Philadelphia Warriors in one matchup, and the New York Knicks and Milwaukee Hawks in the second matchup at the Baltimore Colisuem.
Home Game 13 for the Bullets (non-neutral site, which were quite common back then) was a day-after-Christmas double header.
The Knicks and Milwaukee Hawks had a back and forth affair, with the Knicks winning 78-76. This was during the first Knicks renaissance in the NBA, where New York was in the middle of going to three straight NBA Finals between 1951-53. The Knicks were stacked with stars - Nat "Sweetwater" Clifton, aging former scoring champ Max Zaslofsky, Dick McGuire, and Vince Boryla. Clifton, Zaslofsky, and Connie Simmons each had 14 points and Boryla led Knicks scorers with 16 points for the victors.
The Bullets-Warriors game was and absolute barn burner - a triple overtime 103-99 win for Baltimore. The Warriors boasted three scoring champions in Paul Arizin, Neil Johnston, and Joe Fulks and each scored 22, 13, and 11 respectively. Future HoFer Andy Phillip scored 21 for Philadelphia. Baltimore countered in part with "rookie" Don Barksdale, who was an amazing African-American pioneer in so many ways, including on the basketball court. Six Bullets scored in double figures, including future HoFer Alex Hannum, to lead the home team to a hard-earned victory.
