Independently compression tested in accordance to ISO 604. Two SHED BOOTS were spaced 300mm apart. The mean maximum load corresponds to a weight of approximately 2.8 tonnes distributed over both boots. In essence, the wooden shed floor would fail before the boots.
How to work out how many you need:
The SHED BOOT come in packs of 10. If you don't see your shed dimensions - you need one per ft (300mm).
For example: a shed measuring 8ft x 6ft will need 8x6 individual shed boots = 48 (5 packs of 10).
How do I attach the SHED BOOT?
It’s as Easy as ABC!... Space the SHED BOOT 300mm apart and use the unique, flexible wings to clip onto the timber battens to hold in place ready for nailing. The SHED BOOT is designed to fit bearers up to 50mm using the attached wings, you can snap off the wings for larger battens and/or corner areas (see images above). If heavy weight is to be placed on the floor, reduce the gap but you will need more boots.
"Feels like good quality material (doesn't feel like cheap plastic that is brittle and easy to break), arrived quickly and in the time as indicated on purchase, and easy to use even for a relatively inexperienced DIY-er such as myself. Was even easy to use on my shed which had multiple floor sections, as parts of the feet can be snapped and removed to fit. Would recommend to anybody as an inexpensive but effective improvement to a new shed or any similar outbuilding." Verified customer review ~ Daniel.
NB: The SHED BOOT must only be used on a hard and firm surface, not on uneven or soft ground.
