This is a Type 1 medal with a hand engraved serial number and Uyghur script. Made from solid silver and enamel. Excellent condition, practically no abrasions or signs of use, the tape is original and in excellent condition, pleasant patina, excellent enamel. The triangle suspension is also original and the control arm is original and uncut. The correct threaded plate is missing from the kit. Serial number 15248.


Description
Honorary Labor Medal of the first type. Like all Mongolian awards of this period, it was made in the USSR at the Mint. Silver, enamel.

The “Honorary Labor Medal” was established on May 16, 1941. This medal “is awarded to working people, workers, employees, specialists and other citizens who, through their labor, achieve remarkable results in fulfilling their obligations and thereby strengthen the economic and defense power of the country, develop livestock farming, industry, transport, science, education, art and other sectors of the national economy.”
The medal has two varieties, according to the alphabetical order of the inscription on the page. medals.
According to Herfurt, about 30 thousand awards were made, of which about 15 thousand were type I medals.

VII. "Honorary Labor Medal" of the Mongolian People's Republic
16.1. The “Honorary Labor Medal” is awarded to working people, workers, employees, specialists and other citizens who, through their labor, achieve remarkable results in fulfilling their obligations and thereby strengthen the economic and defense power of the country, develop livestock farming, industry, transport, science, education, art and other sectors of the national economy.
2. The “Honorary Labor Medal” is awarded through the Presidium of the Small Khural of the MPR.
3. When presenting a medal to the recipient, a special certificate is issued along with the medal, in which the first and last name of the recipient, the reasons for the award, the medal number are entered, and a photograph of the recipient is affixed.
4. The medal is worn on the left side of the chest.
5. The medal presentation ceremony must take place at ceremonial meetings and on holidays on the occasion of the revolution.
6. Deprivation of the right to wear a medal is determined by the Presidium of the Small Khural of the MPR. The basis for this may be the passing of a sentence in court or the commission of an offense that disgraces the honor of the recipient.
7. If a medal is stolen or lost, the recipient has the right to report this to local executive bodies and the Presidium of the Small Khural of the MPR; the Presidium of the Small Khural may issue the recipient a new medal or refrain from issuing it.

Front side I type. In the center of the round medal there is a raised vertical three-line inscription in Mongolian (Uyghur alphabet). The translation reads: “Medal for Labor Valor.” Under the inscription there is a stylized image of logo leaves covered with green enamel. Along the edge of the medal runs the “Alkhan-Khee” ornament, closed in a circle, covered with red enamel.
Type II The same inscription is made in three lines, the top line is in Cyrillic along the upper semicircle.
The reverse side of the medal is smooth, with a number engraved at the bottom.
Using an eyelet and a ring, the medal is connected to a pentagonal slotted block, which is covered with a red moire ribbon. On the reverse side, the block is smooth and has a soldered threaded pin with a nut for attaching the medal to clothing. On the nut there is a raised two-line inscription: mint.
The tape is secured to the back of the block using a triangular spacer and a nut.
The medal, block, spacer and nut are made of silver, the nut is made of white alloy. The ornament is gilded.
The diameter of the medal is 36 mm. The dimensions of the pad are 21x31 mm. Tape width 26 mm. Medal weight 23.90 g, pad weight 5.2 g, spacer weight 0.80 g, nut weight 7.60 g.
