Description:

Designed to suit most large enclosures of at least 80cm x 50cm, this provides an excellent sleeping and safe habitat your rodent friend. The roof is removeable, however there is no floor to allow burrowing directly from the chambers.

Modular:

The design allows for a build so it can be constructed with the chamber dividers in one of two  configurations. The roof can be removed to allow easy viewing to check on your hamster and look for any stashed food with minimal disturbance. The rear slide can also be positioned left or right or totally removed if preferred. The lid also allows the roof opening to be in any corner desired by flipping the wooden lid over and/or around to suit your requirements.

Enriching:

Gives them a safe space to hide, eat and sleep without disturbance. There are multiple internal chambers, great for hamsters to use as individual rooms, as they like different areas for eating, stashing and sleeping. The lack of floor allows them to burrow directly down into their bedding materials. The large species specific entrance, exit and internal compartment holes mean they won't have any issues moving around, even with pouches full of food!

Finish:

Comes unfinished so can be painted or varnished to suit your requirements.

PLEASE NOTE! Be aware that painting and varnishing our products may make it difficult to slot the parts together. Please consider the method prior to carrying this out. Carry this out using one of the following methods:

1. Paint/varnish once assembled, but this may make disassembly difficult.

2. Test paint on an area first where a tab a slot are assembled. Once happy continue on the remainder of parts.

3. Paint but avoid the tabs and slots so that these areas remain free to slot together.

The Poplar we use is a very specific fast growing strain, specifically developed for the plywood industry and it is harvested in Northern Italy. The species is synonymous with environmental protection as it is known to improve the quality of air and water, protect the biodiversity of natural habitats and is a renewable and sustainable resource.

The wood we source is not harvested from areas where traditions or civil rights have been violated or where there are ongoing armed conflicts. All timber is from areas that have not been menaced, illegally cultivated or sourced from natural areas converted into plantations with genetically modified trees (GMOs).

Cleaning:

Should thorough cleaning be required carefully disassemble in reverse order. Clean with suitable disinfectants, for example with a pet safe vinegar and water solution. Simply reassemble as required.
