MARIGOLD

Also known as the French Marigold it is a beautiful annual dwarf cottage plant,

 15cm with decorative green leaves and beautiful colourful fragrant flowers.

Very easy and simple to grow and looks stunning in pots or mixed flower garden beds

 (See attached photos of how you can create your own beautiful mixed flower beds).

Can be used as a border planting or companion plant as the roots are antibacterial and

 are said to repel nematodes. Not to be planted near legume crops. 

Flower florets are used are used for poultry fodder, ground into spice mixtures used in

 Georgian cuisine and the whole plants are used as essential oil.

WHAT WILL I RECEIVE

You will receive a packet of 30 fresh seeds.

Plant very shallow, 2-3mm deep in a sterile mix. Keep moist but not wet. 

Ensure that planted seeds are kept at stable temperatures in filtered light, protected

 from inclement weather such as rain, wind and intense heat.

Seeds often respond well to smoke treatment, which also acts as a natural

fungicide.

Smoke infused Vermiculite is a great potting media additive and is often

handy for germination of seeds. Simply sprinkle the smoked vermiculite

media on top of your seed raising mix and then sow seeds as required.
