Ansel Adams was a personal mentor and early influence to Gregory Hugh Leng, he even received advice from the master that he still practices today! Gregory has studied art, design and photography and won awards with his art and photography over the years. David McCullough, the Putlizer Prize winning author and medal of freedom award winner has some of my work and encouraged me to become an author. I have authored (4) photography books in the past year. I am a historian. Jackson Pollock has been a major inspiration with my latest paintings. I have also worked in watercolor, pastels, oils, colored pencils, pencil, pen & inks and acrylics. I used many different methods and techniques in applying paint to a canvas. In the past I have also used an airbrush, fine paint brushes, palete knifes, sponges, straws, sticks and other tools to apply paint ot the canvas. I have done portraits, landscapes, animals, cartooning (Studied under Dick Malmgrem-Archies Comics Cartoonist) and abstracts.

Gregory is considered to be a historian on The Land of Oz theme park that was located on top of Beech Mountain, NC from 1970-1980. Even "Wikipedia" online mentions Gregory if you search under "Land of Oz theme park." This book is selling on eBay and at bookstores and speciality retail stores in North Carolina until in goes national. The 2 time pulitzer prize winning author David McCullough "loved" this book. In January 2011, Gregory released a 57 page hardcover book "Beaufort-The South Carolina Low Country." The book features beautiful photography of Beaufort, Charleston and Hilton Head SC. It also features a page with photography from Savannah, Georgia. Over 220 color photographs are in the book and many are from private beaches not accessible by the general public. It contains a brief history on the Beaufort area, where his family has a second home. This is perhaps one of the finest photography books ever published on the Beaufort area. It was just featured in the Charleston, SC "Post & Courier" newspaper under new books and they included a color copy of my book. The response has been tremendous on this book so far! I do have my "Beaufort and the South Carolina Low Country" book in book stores already. If you are in the Beaufort area look for it at the local book stores "Beaufort Book Store" and the "Beaufort Book Store" in historic downtown Beaufort, South Carolina.
My (2) latest photography books are being reviewed by several U.S. publishers for mass production and distribution in major book stores. My most recent books are being offered at a very limited edition number on eBay and are 12x12 full color hardcover photography books.
The first is GREGORY HUGH LENG "Portfolio of Photographic Images" that is dedicated to Ansel Adams who encouraged me to become a photographer and also to my son Joshua Cole Leng.
My newest book just in from the publisher is "The Caribbean" that is dedicated to my son Joshua Cole Leng.
Both books have a VERY LIMITED AUTHOR'S PROOF PRINTING and were printed with the highest quality printing process available. These books are sure to increase in value because they have such a small print run on each. Each one is signed and numbered by Gregory Hugh Leng in gold ink. The books are $249.95 each and my costs involved for each book due to the small edition printed was very close to this amount. I assure you these are great investments of my work. I also added up the value of each print purchased separately as I sell them and if you bought all the prints separately it would be over $3,000.00!!!
All photography in Gregory's books may be purchased as fine art prints that are matted and framed. You can also purchase canvas gallery wraps, which are archival and the quality is outstanding. The process is a work of art in itself and these can be framed or hung on the wall without a frame. Either way they are beautiful renditions of his photography.
Photography books can be purchased direct through Gregory, on eBay, through contacting Gregory on his Zenfolio web site and in regional book stores at this time. If you purchase a book direct, you will save money over buying it in a bookstore. PayPal is also accepted as a payment method. All books are hand signed and numbered. They ship USPS Priority mail with delivery confirmation to you. All books may be personalized to you or someone you may choose to give the book to as a gift. Books purchased may not be returned since they are hand signed for the buyer. All books are premium quality and are printed in the United States of America!
Gregory is a member of the Carolina's Nature Photographers Association (CPNA). He is currently working on a portfolio of his Nature Photography for their web site.
