This lot of 7 Man of Steel comic books is a complete set including the variant cover of the first issue, written and penciled by John Byrne and inked by Dick Giordano. Published by DC Comics in 1986, these comics are a must-have for any Superman collector.
The comics retell the origin of Superman (Clark Kent). The set includes both covers of the first issue.
Issue 1 (silver logo) is VF condition (see photos): cover is slightly off-centre; some spine creases are visible. Corners are sharp and look good.
Issue 1 (variant cover) is VF, with nice cover gloss. Some small spine creases, a few small scuffs, a small stain near the price indicia. Corners are generally sharp.
Issue 2 is NM, with no significant defects visible.
Issue 3, featuring Batman, is NM; cover is slightly off-centre, but no significant defects.
Issue 4 is VG+ The top right corner has a stain that goes through the entire book. If not for this the book would be NM. Look carefully at photos.
Issue 5 (Bizarro appearance!) is NM; no significant flaws, but close examination shows a tiny chip out of the top right corner (look carefully at photos).
Issue 6 is NM, with a few tiny spine creases, and slight damage to bottom right corner (look carefully at photos)
I ship all comics bagged and boarded. I pack them with care; I am a collector, and pack them the way I would want them if receiving them.
