Leslie Cope is an artist born in Britain, raised in Ohio, and became a pottery artist for local potteries such as McCoy and other local potteries in Zanesville.  He became a camouflage expert during WWII.  He is known for his etchings, watercolours, acrylics, and oil paintings of rural life, seascapes, and landscapes in Ohio, England, and the West.  His works are in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Smithsonian Art Museum in Washington DC, Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburgh, and Capital University.
