Not sure if it is Melamine or Fiberglass but very wipeable surface.  Not made of wood.

They all show signs of age but that is part of the charming patina!

One of the yellow trays has a few cracks but still functions - hence the cheaper price for the set.

Perfect for serving drinks or for using as a TV dinner tray!
