Description - Antique early 20th century good size solid silver scent bottle holder, hinged opening with a further hinged lid with a catch clasp and a chain with thumb/ finger chain loop
embellished with repoussé Reynolds Angels relief
silver-gilt (gold washed) interior
opens up to reveal the original glass scent bottle with the cork stopper.
Fully hallmarked with the three wheatsheaves for Chester assay, the lion passant indicating 925 grade, date letter "C" for the year 1903 solid sterling silver and the maker's mark "HM" which is Henry Matthews.
Condition - In very good condition, no dents, dings, splits, holes, repairs.
Hinges strong, silver gilt bright and glass bottle free of cracks or chips.
