The XC1 design features an array of precision-machined C-Hook grooves across the braking surface. Each 3 mm-wide hook creates additional leading edges that interact with the brake pad, helping to provide a positive initial bite and responsive pedal feel.

During braking, the C-Hook grooves help refresh the pad surface and clear away brake dust, gases and surface debris from the contact area. This helps maintain effective contact between the brake pad and disc, supporting consistent braking characteristics during everyday, enthusiastic and fast-road driving.

Developed and machined by HALO Brakes, the XC1 combines functional surface geometry with an immediately recognisable motorsport-inspired design.
