So finally!! , we are launching our first cavalry, looking to bring the detail and artistry of this great 3D printable range into metal rather than resin and again, it's all about maximum choices for personalisation of your forces

As well as Reconquista battles, use the same figures for a wide range of campaigns - definitely Crusades,

possibly Normans, etc etc and for various rulesets - SAGA, Swordpoint, Barons War, Outremer , etc etc - probably even Oathmark and LOTR ! 

Our aim is to make them as flexible and modular as possible to suit a range of potential armies but also because in reality, a lot of Reconquista troop types tended to be similar, so the SAME bodies can be personalised for either of the opposing factions with some simple choices ! 

SO,  This listing is for "PAIR 1" from a set of 6 rider figures available- Pair 2 and Pair 3 are listed separately

This "PAIR 1" set of 2 riders are shown in the photos (they are 1a + 1b in product photo) . They will come with a random selection of 2 from our four standard Spanish Horses .

We've listed them this way, because across the three pairs available, you can then build your cavalry units to the style you require - more Northern Iberian/Christian or more Southern/Muslim-influence - by doubling up certain riders or mixing & matching weapon styles ..

We add a separate little sword-in-scabbard with each model. - Simply glue the scabbard in the position you prefer to add more realism and a unique pose - we found this so much more lifelike than trying to cast them flat on the bodies PLUS , then if you choose Sword Hands , you simply clip off the hilt and glue the empty scabbard in position instead , for more flexibility, realism and detail !

You will then receive 2 different horses for your "Pair 1" riders , (sadly we cannot commit to providing the horses of your choice but maybe when we've sold a few !;-) We also then intend to sell the horses separately but not at this stage ).

Please note - we've dared to be different with one of the horses - this comes with a separate LH rein section . This allows us to replicate the iconic Reconquer designs that add so much flamboyance to the riders ... by adjusting this piece before you glue it , you can accommodate the different left shield arm height of different riders .. we've shown photos of how this level of detail has been achieved with 3 of the riders - you just wouldn't get this in standard casting !... and if you can't be bothered and just want the reins to the saddle front, then you can simply clip off the end and glue against the horse's neck .. lots of choices ...but we think the extra litlte effort leads to a much more striking figure . Check the photos, judge for yourself - we will be doing this for more feature horses in the range .

SO, FIRST CHOICE YOU NEED TO ADVISE US WHEN YOU MAKE THE ORDER, IS IF YOU WISH YOUR TWO RIDERS WITH SPEARS OR SWORDS IN HAND , OR ONE OF EACH

SECOND CHOICE : LET US KNOW IF YOUR RIDERS REQUIRE STANDARD SWORD/SCABBARD OR THE "ORNATE" VERSION THAT MAY BE BETTER SUITED FOR ARAB/MUSLIM/SOUTHERN SPANISH FORCES .

AND FINAL CHOICE : to help further with the personalisation and multi-purpose , there's a choice of 5 shield types included in the unit price : 

When ordering please add a note stating your preference for one of the following options (see photos for reference):

a) 2 x Kite shields - plain ( measure 23mm x 10mm so fit many transfers/decals to suit either force ) 

b) 2 x Kite Shields - patterned (comes with2 types of pattern as per photos - more suited to "Christian" forces) 

c) 2 x Almond Shields - Plain (measure 19 x 10 mm - more for "Christian" forces )  

d) 2 x Round shields - plain (they are just over 13mm diam. so fit many transfers/decals to suit either force ) 

e) 2 x Round Shields - Patterned (3 types of pattern as per photos , more suited "non-Christian" forces) 

Notes :

We’re proud to be working on a licence basis with the amazing sculpts of Reconquer Designs to turn some of their great 3D Print designs into good old metal . We've toyed with various resins over the months, but despite some advantages we personally found most will break, they are are hard to make conversions and it just doesn't feel the same ! We offer same if not better costs than 3D print but metal will last longer and it's recyclable = Eco bonus !!;-))

So we took on the production challenge just for the fun of it ! 

It's been a long time coming, delayed for all sorts of reasons but we've finally committed and now started by making the basic core figures available with more of the figures to follow from their range , which we can promise, will only get better in quality...

We’re pretty pleased with these first castings, BUT PLEASE see for yourself as we’ve tried to capture all the great detail in the photos . We will add soonest, some painted versions that we hope will also help .

We’ve tried to go for a size that fits with the widest range of other historical ranges so you can add to your armies, as well as collecting as a campaign in their own right . They measure approx 27 mm toe to eye. The horses are apporx 26mm base to middle of back.

See the comparison photo with some other figures we had to hand - this range are a little bigger than Perry's and current Footsore Barons War figures and a little smaller than Vitrix ,Gripping beast and Crusader but the Reconquer Designs are a different style of sculpt so a lot finer and more realistic we think ... so we think they will fit fine with both ends of the "28mm" scale !)  

Also with the Horse comparison photo - we're about the size of the old GW/Citadel metal horses , similar to Front Rank but slimmer/lighter , similar to Vitrix and Warlord plastics , larger than Footsore, GW plastics, Gripping Beast ...

NB 1 !! : You are buying the unpainted bare metal items as shown in the actual product photo ... they do NOT come with bases

NB 2 !! : Due to the nature of metal casting, finally assembly may require superglue and probably a small file or drill for making parts fit neatly etc ..... (we say this as standard , but the weapon hands do fit pretty well)

The Ebay system SHOULD calculate a combined postage , but we find a lot of the time it doesn't ! (despite checking and re-checking we have the right settings) . PLEASE be assured that if you pay more than one postage, we will work out the correct and cheapest postage for the weight of your items and make the relevant refund and normally, we will message you to tell you what's happening and what you will be paying so you can change your mind if you want to .

We don't aim to make a profit on postage - we only cover , the service used, the basic packaging and of course EBay fees on shipping ;-)

If given the option, PLEASE request an invoice BEFORE paying as we will put as many models as we can in the same box for one charge .

We will give a specific cost for international postage - the amount shown on the listing is a guide but may be less if you are based in Europe .

Items will be carefully packaged and posted in the condition as per the photo and signed-for to ensure safe delivery but damage can sometimes occur in transit. We are not responsible for that but please contact us and we will try to resolve any issues before listing negative feedback.
