If you replace this impeller in water, the impeller shell may be lower than the waterline. If you pull one of the hoses or the impeller shell apart, water may flow in. Make sure that the engine on the trailer is placed in the water on the elevator, or make sure that the hose does not treat seawater as the engine compartment.
