The color difference between the received replacement shoulder strap and your bag is normal. The natural color shoulder straps are made of untreatment vegetable tanned leather, so it will change color due to exposure to light, temperature, and humidity. How to identify genuine leather?
1. Cowhide is worked animal skin, have a natural, skin, fur smell instead of plastic-like. Faux leather is made of plastic, have a strong pungent smell . It is easier to distinguish between the two, so you can try it.
2. Use the fire test, we suggese cut a little piece leather, use the fire to burn, if it is faux leather, there will be a strong plastic taste and combustion to form knots. If it is natural genuine leather, it is similar to our human skin ,will have a little animal taste, and not results knots and your fingers can shape into grinding after burning.
3.Our natural color cowhide, because the surface is untreatment, so please check the surface grain, you can see the little "pebbles" and pores vaguely on the leather surface. You can also use a magnifying glass to press it carefully. Naturally distributed pores are genuine cowhide.Remember, real leather is made from animal skin, and thus each piece is as random and unique as the animal it came from. Very regular, even, and similar grains often indicate a machine-made piece.
Real leather might have scratches, creases, and wrinkles -- this is a good thing!

Maintenance tips：
1.the natural color is untreated surface and is therefore susceptible to water and stains. So pls stay away from water and dirt . Avoid friction with hard objects.
2.Application of grease and sun exposure will speed up discoloration of the shoulder straps.
Method of discoloration : Grab some mink oil with a sponge , then apply the oil all over the straps , and expose them to the sun for an hour . Avoid strong sun light at noon . The mink oil can be used once a month until the straps turn into the color you desire.
3.Application of grease is the key to maintenance.Mink oil is the best grease to choose.
